Das Haus ist nicht profitorientiert. Alles hier läuft ehrenamtlich und freiwillig, getragen vom Heimvorstand und den Referaten. Wer mitmachen will, spricht einfach die Referent*innen an.
The house is not run for profit. Everything here happens voluntarily and unpaid, carried by the board and the committees. Want to get involved? Just talk to the committee members.
Alle Aktivitäten im Heim laufen über Referate. Namen und Zimmernummern der Referent*innen hängen in den Küchen aus.
Every activity in the house runs through a committee. Names and room numbers of the committee members are posted in the kitchens.
Während des Semesters hat der Club regelmäßig mittwochs ab 21:00 offen: Getränke zu studentenfreundlichen Preisen und die beste Gelegenheit, die Leute im Heim kennenzulernen. Ab und zu gibt es Spezialclubs mit Motto, angekündigt eine Woche vorher.
During the semester the club is open every Wednesday from 21:00: drinks at student-friendly prices and the best chance to meet the people in the house. Now and then there are themed special clubs, announced a week ahead.
Tagsüber gibt es Kaffeelounges mit Kaffee, Kakao und Tee in bester Gesellschaft. Die Bar kann auch für einen Privatclub gemietet werden.
During the day there are coffee lounges with coffee, cocoa and tea in the best company. The bar can also be rented for a private party.
Klein, aber fein. Gegen einen Semesterbeitrag könnt ihr jederzeit trainieren. Zum Registrieren kommt ihr zu den Fitnessreferent*innen, dort gibt es auch eine kurze Einführung zu Regeln und Möglichkeiten. Für Freund*innen von außerhalb fragt bitte ebenfalls dort nach.
Small but good. For a fee per semester you can train any time. To sign up, see the fitness committee, who also give you a short intro to the rules and equipment. Ask them as well if you want to bring friends from outside.
Der Fitnessbeitrag deckt auch die Infrarotkabine ab. Lasst euch dafür von den Fitnessreferent*innen einspeichern. Den Strom bezahlt ihr bei der Benutzung mit 2-€-Münzen.
The gym fee also covers the infrared sauna. Ask the fitness committee to register you. You pay for the electricity with €2 coins when you use it.

Ein Billardtisch mit allem, was dazugehört, und eine Dartscheibe. Schlüssel und Dartpfeile bekommt ihr bei den Billardreferent*innen. Nach 22:00 bitte keine laute Musik mehr.

Mindestens einmal im Semester gibt es eine angekündigte Jamsession im Wohnzimmer. Alle sind eingeladen, mitzumusizieren und mitzusingen.

Im Wohnzimmer stehen ein Regal mit Zeitungen und Zeitschriften (auch in der Lounge) und ein Spieleschrank, inklusive Tischtennisschlägern für den Mehrzwecksaal. Wünsche für neue Zeitschriften gehen an die Zeitungsreferent*innen.
The living room has a shelf of newspapers and magazines (also in the lounge) and a games cupboard, including table tennis bats for the multi-purpose hall. Requests for new magazines go to the newspaper committee.

Zwei Getränkeautomaten versorgen euch rund um die Uhr mit Bier und Säften. Sind sie leer oder gibt es Probleme, meldet euch zu vernünftigen Uhrzeiten bei den Bierreferent*innen.
Two vending machines keep you supplied with beer and juice around the clock. If they are empty or broken, contact the beer committee at reasonable hours.
Bitte bringt das Leergut zurück. Die Gewinnspanne ist so gering, dass eine schlechte Rückgabequote die Preise erhöht, und das will wirklich niemand.
Please bring the empties back. The margin is so small that a poor return rate pushes prices up, and nobody wants that.

Alle teilnehmenden Bewohner*innen sind stimmberechtigt. Einmal im Jahr werden hier Heimsprecher*in, Stellvertretung und Finanzreferat gewählt, neue Mitglieder in den Heimverein aufgenommen und Änderungen der Heimordnung beschlossen.
Every resident who attends gets a vote. Once a year it elects the house speaker, deputy and finance officer, admits new members to the house association and decides on changes to the house rules.
Der oder die Vorsitzende und 9 Halbstockvertreter*innen, jedes Jahr von euch gewählt. In der Heimausschusssitzung wird über größere Anschaffungen, Referent*innenwahlen und Statutsänderungen entschieden.
The chair and 9 half-floor representatives, elected by you every year. The council meeting decides on bigger purchases, committee elections and changes to the statutes.
Die Heimordnung schreiben wir Studierende selbst. Das Heimstatut kommt vom Heimträger WIST. Dazu gibt es Referatsstatuten. Alles findet ihr auf Discord oder bei den Referent*innen.

Get a parking card from Mr Lovric at the porter's lodge each semester. It is issued for one licence plate and costs €25 per month. Notes behind the windscreen don't count, the management reports violations.
